About Us

Did you know 1 in 6 Canadians are struggling with fertility? We see you all fertility warriors! You have been trying to conceive for months or years and may feel that time is not on your side. If you have just booked a consult with a fertility clinic, it may take a couple of months until you have your first appointment with your doctor. Perhaps you have been already undergoing several fertility treatments with your doctor and looking to increase your chances of conceiving.

All this comes with some waiting time, feelings of overwhelm, anxiety and you may feel all alone in this journey. The good news is, nutrition and what you eat a few months prior to any fertility procedures can help prepare your body for treatment. Not to worry, at Dahlia Nutrition, we are here for you. Let's make sure that evidence based nutrition is part of your treatment plan.

Nutrition can help:

- Improve your egg and sperm quality.

- Manage blood sugar and regulate your period if you are living with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

- Prepare your body for pregnancy when undergoing Intrauterine insemination (IUI).

- Help prepare your uterus and lining for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) with or without donor eggs.

We want to help you take quick control of your fertility journey by utilizing nutrition to improve your chances of conception and having a healthy baby. We'll teach you simple to follow transformative steps, from the comfort of your home, that will empower you to stay ahead of your stress, anxiety and help prepare your body and uterus for conception.

Dahlia Abou El Hassan, MScFN, RD

Hi I am Dahlia, creator of Dahlia Nutrition. I am based out of the Greater Toronto Area, I am a foodie and a firm believer that all foods fit. When I moved to Canada in 2000, I fell in love with the diverse culture filled with friends from different backgrounds and food from various ethnic cuisines. This fueled my passion and love for food even more. Travelling all around the world has shown me the role food plays in many cultures and now I want to bring that joy into people’s lives.

I am a Registered Dietitian with over 10 years of experience. My services are virtual which means I save you time from travelling to a clinic to see me, and this means that you get more time back in your day.

There are a few things I like to do to help keep my mind and body active. During the warmer months I enjoy gardening and using home grown vegetables and herbs in cooking delicious meals. This is one of my favourite ways for saving time and money while bringing the freshest of ingredients into my kitchen. I also enjoy going for walks or taking my bicycle and going for a long ride to blow off some steam.

Let me take you on a journey to improve your well being through food.
